Precautions and Key Points for Using a Lawn Mower Beforehand 

Whether it's a side-mounted or backpack lawn mower, safety always comes first:

�� Essential protective gear (all must be present)

✅ Protective gloves: Anti-slip and anti-cut, for a more stable grip on the mower

✅ Face shield + safety goggles: Double protection for the eyes and face, preventing injury from flying debris 

✅ Four Standardized Pre-Assignment Steps (Mandatory) 

1. Inspection and Tightening of Components

Carefully follow the instructions to ensure all components are securely connected. The lock nuts of the blades must be tightened thoroughly to prevent loosening or falling off during operation, which could cause danger! 

2. Precise Fuel Filling

▪ For two-stroke engines: Mix 25:1 gasoline with two-stroke engine oil.

▪ For four-stroke engines: Fill the fuel tank with pure gasoline and add dedicated four-stroke engine oil to the oil tank separately.

It is recommended to use engine oil specifically designed for garden tools to ensure longer engine life. 

3. Preheating of Gasoline Engine

After starting, let the engine idle at low speed for 3 to 5 minutes to fully warm up before operation. Do not start working immediately upon turning on the engine, as this can significantly extend the engine's lifespan. 

4. Work Area Cleanup + Machine Adjustment

First, clear stones, wires, and debris from the field or lawn to prevent injuries from flying objects.

Adjust the shoulder strap according to your height. Place the machine on your right side, keeping the blade parallel to the ground at a distance of 3-5 cm. Stand steadily without bending over. 

Safety Taboos in Work Assignments 

❌ Do not let go of the handle with both hands. Always hold it firmly and push at a steady speed.

❌ Do not force the operation on steep slopes or slippery ground. It is very easy to lose control and cut your legs.

❌ Do not cut too low at one time. Follow the principle of cutting in small amounts multiple times to protect the grass roots and the blade. 

Post-Work Maintenance Tips 

Timely remove weeds and debris from the machine body.

Regularly check the wear of the blades and replace them when they become dull.

Change the engine oil on time and do a good job of maintenance. Only in this way can the machine be more durable. 

When doing garden work or weeding in the fields, never take chances! Standard operation and proper protection not only safeguard yourself but also make the lawn mower last longer and double its efficiency.
