Fogging Machine Operating Instructions

1. Pre-operation Inspection (Must be done)

Whole machine inspection: Screws, clamps, oil pipes, medicine box cover, sealing ring are all in good condition;严禁leaking water， oil or air Gansu Province Agriculture... 。

Fuel: Use 93# or higher unleaded pure gasoline; do not mix with engine oil (pulse machine uses pure gasoline only).

Medicine box: Spray test to confirm no leakage, normal atomization, and no blockage.

Filter: Filter screens at the suction port and the medicine box opening are clean and undamaged.

Battery / Ignition: Spark plugs jump sparks normally; battery is fully charged.

II. Personal Protection (Top Priority)

The mist droplets are extremely fine and have strong drift, which means the poisoning risk is much higher than that of ordinary sprayers:

Wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, rubber boots, and waterproof aprons. Gansu Province Agricultural... 。

Wear a gas mask / medical mask + goggles, tuck in sleeves and trouser legs. Gansu Province Agricultural... 。

Wear gloves; strictly prohibit bare hands from coming into contact with pesticides.

During the operation, rotate among 2-3 people, and each person should not work continuously for more than 30 minutes. Gansu Province's agriculture... 。

III. Dosage and Addition

Pesticides should be mixed according to the instructions and the concentration should not be increased arbitrarily.

Powdered pesticides / foliar fertilizers should be dissolved and filtered (filter mesh ≥ 80 mesh) before being added to the drug box to prevent clogging of the nozzle.

The amount of added pesticides should not exceed 80% of the capacity of the drug box. The lid of the drug box should be tightly closed (otherwise, there will be no pressure and no spraying).

It is strictly prohibited to mix incompatible pesticides (such as strong acid + strong base, organophosphorus + alkaline pesticides).

IV. Startup and Shutdown Sequence (Prevent Backflow, Prevent Pipe Blockage)

Startup

Turn on the fuel switch and close the drug valve.

Pump oil / Fill the oil bubble to the carburetor intake.

Start the machine, preheat at idle for 1-2 minutes.

After normal operation, open the drug valve for spraying.

Shutdown (The sequence must not be reversed)

First, turn off the drug valve → continue idle for 30 seconds (to empty the liquid in the pipe).

Then, turn off the fuel switch → the machine will automatically shut off.

In case of unexpected shutdown: Immediately turn off the drug valve, with the spray nozzle facing downward, to prevent the pesticide from flowing back into the carburetor / spark plug.

V. Attention during Operation

Wind direction priority: Operate with the wind blowing in the same direction or on the side, with people in the upwind position and the spray nozzle in the downwind position; Wind speed > 4m/s (3rd level wind) is prohibited for operation.

Time selection:

Summer: 5-7 am, 5 pm or later (avoid high temperature, prevent volatilization / pesticide damage).

Spring and autumn: 6-10 am, 4 pm.

Midday high temperature, rainy days, thunderstorms, strong winds are prohibited for operation.

Spray nozzle height: 30-40 cm away from the crops, horizontally slightly downward.

Walking speed: About 30 meters/minute, move one step and swing the spray nozzle once, for even spraying.

Prohibited:

Frequent switching of the drug valve during operation (sudden increase in pressure → burst pipe, damage to pump head).

The spray nozzle facing people, livestock, food, or water sources.

Touching the exhaust pipe or cylinder body at high temperatures (up to 200-300℃).

VI. Maintenance after Operation (Prevent Blockage, Corrosion, Freezing)

Daily cleaning:

Rinse the drug box, pipeline, and spray nozzle with clean water 2-3 times.

Empty the residual liquid: Completely empty the drug box, pipeline, and pump head of residual liquid. Do not allow water or pesticide to be stored (easily grow moss, crystallize → block the spray nozzle).

Clean the filter mesh: Remove the filter mesh, rinse it clean, and dry it.

Fuel handling: Drain the fuel from the fuel tank when not in use for a long time.

Winter prevention of freezing: Completely empty the residual liquid in the drug box, pipeline, and pump head of the machine to prevent cracking from freezing.

Storage: Place in a cool, dry, and ventilated place; remove the battery and store separately to prevent corrosion and leakage.

VII. Absolute Prohibitions (Red Line)

❌ Prohibited to use in flammable and explosive places (gas stations, haystacks, fireworks warehouses).

❌ Prohibited to use open flames, smoking, refueling, or operating with open flames.

❌ Prohibited for children, pregnant women, the elderly, those under the influence of alcohol, or those with illnesses to operate. Gansu Province Agriculture... 。

❌ Do not blow the nozzle or pipeline with your mouth (extremely toxic).

❌ Do not work for a long time indoors or in enclosed greenhouses (risk of oxygen deficiency and poisoning).

VIII. Quick Troubleshooting for Common Faults

No fogging / Weak fog: The lid of the medicine box is not tightened, the filter is clogged, the nozzle is clogged, the medicine valve is not opened, or the pressure is insufficient.

Backflow / Difficult startup: The shutdown sequence is reversed, the medicine valve is not closed after the engine is turned off, or the nozzle is facing upwards.

Pipe burst: Frequent closing of the medicine valve during operation, aging of the pipeline, or excessive pressure.
