Empty the fuel tank, start the machine to burn off the remaining fuel in the fuel filter to prevent gum from blocking the oil path. Remove the spark plugs, drip a few drops of two-stroke engine oil into the cylinder, pull the starter rope a few times to lubricate the cylinder wall, and then reinstall the spark plugs. Store it in a dry and cool place, stand upright to prevent oil leakage.

How to maintain a leaf blower to ensure it lasts for a long time

1. Every time after use, it must be done (general)

Clean the air intake / exhaust channels

The intake port, fan chamber, duct, and nozzle are most prone to being clogged with leaves and dust. Every time after use, they must be cleaned:

Turn off the machine, disconnect the power supply / remove the battery, and use a soft brush or dry cloth to clean thoroughly;

Do not use water to rinse the internal part of the machine body, the shell can be slightly moistened and wiped;

Blockage will cause overheating, reduced air volume, and burning of the motor / engine.

Check the appearance and fasteners

Check if the duct, handle, and screws are loose or cracked, and tighten or replace them in time to prevent increased vibration from damaging parts.

2. Fuel models (two-stroke) key maintenance

1. Air filter (most critical)

Clean once every 10-15 hours or weekly;

For sponge filter: gently wash with water + neutral detergent, fully dry before reinstalling;

For paper filter: blow from the inside out with compressed air, replace if it cannot be cleaned thoroughly;

A clogged filter = engine sucks in dust = cylinder damage.

2. Fuel System (Must use two-stroke-specific engine oil)

The oil ratio should strictly follow the manual (commonly 50:1). Do not use old or inferior oil.

Before each refueling, remove the old oil to avoid gum blocking the fuel filter.

Fuel filter: Replace every 25–50 hours to prevent impurities from entering the pump.

3. Spark Plugs and Ignition

Check and clean every 50 hours: Remove carbon deposits with a wire brush, adjust the gap according to the manual (commonly 0.5mm).

If the electrode becomes white/black or is heavily contaminated with oil, replace it immediately to avoid missing spark and burning the cylinder.

4. Cooling and Moving Components

Clean the cooling fins and the area around the starter every time. Blockage will cause overheating and cylinder damage.

Carburetor: When the idle speed is unstable or the engine is weak, spray it with a dedicated cleaning agent. Do not randomly adjust the screws.

Three. Key Maintenance for Lithium Battery Models

Battery Maintenance (Determines Lifespan)

Do not leave the battery fully charged for a long time, nor use it until it reaches 0%.

Maintain the battery within the range of 20%–80% during daily use. Store it at 50% when not in use for a long time.

Do not charge or use the battery under direct sunlight, rain, or in a high-temperature environment (>40°C).

Use a dry cloth to clean the contacts instead of a metal scraper to avoid short circuits.

Motor and Airflow Path

Follow the same general rules: Clean the intake port and fan blades each time to prevent stalled operation and motor burnout.

Do not bend or crush the cables, and store them loosely wound to avoid wire breakage.

Four. Long-term Storage (Seasonal Change / Unused for More Than 1 Month)

Fuel Engine

Empty the fuel tank, start the machine to burn off the remaining fuel in the fuel filter to prevent gum from blocking the oil path.

Remove the spark plugs, drip a few drops of two-stroke engine oil into the cylinder, pull the starter rope a few times to lubricate the cylinder wall, and then reinstall the spark plugs.

Store it in a dry and cool place, stand upright to prevent oil leakage.

Lithium Battery Model

Charge the battery to 50%, remove it for separate storage, and recharge once a month.

Clean the body, put on a dust cover, and store it in a dry place.

Five. Common Mistakes (Avoid Falling into Traps)

✗ Mix ordinary four-stroke engine oil with this oil → Cylinder burnout

✗ Do not replace the filter element when it is dirty → Engine / Motor prematurely fails

✗ Leave the battery fully charged for a long time or use it until 0% → Battery bulges and capacity drops

✗ Continue to use with a blocked air intake → Overheating and engine burnout
