How to maintain a pole saw to extend its service life
First: Air filter element maintenance: After each use, promptly clean the dust on the air filter. If it is a sponge filter element, wash it thoroughly with detergent, dry it, and then reinstall it!
If it is a paper filter element, just tap off the surface dust with force. It should be replaced every 100 hours of use; otherwise, it will affect the machine's power and lifespan.
Second: Spark plug maintenance: Check for carbon deposits and gap size every 50 hours of operation. If excessive carbon deposits are found, use a tool like a bamboo stick to gently scrape them off.
If the gap between the side electrode and the positive electrode of the spark plug is found to be too large, it should be adjusted in time. If the carbon deposits cannot be cleaned or the spark plug has been in use for more than 200 hours, it can be directly replaced with a new one.
Third: Gearbox + Hard Shaft Maintenance: Every 50 hours of operation, add 20 ml of high-temperature grease to the gearbox!
The hard shaft should also be smeared with 20ml of high-temperature grease to ensure proper lubrication. This will make the machine run more smoothly and reduce wear and tear!
Fourth, chain maintenance: If the chain is too loose, adjust it in time; if it is not sharp, file and grind it in time. Remember to add one 260ML bottle of chain oil for every bottle of fuel used to avoid dry grinding and damaging the chain!
Finally, it is important to remind you that the fuel should also be pure and fresh 92-octane or higher gasoline.
Never use old engine oil! The oil selection standard is 1:50 garden machinery special engine oil.
The maintenance of a pole saw is not complicated at all. Spending a few minutes every day and doing regular checks and lubrication can save you a lot of money on replacing the machine.
