Maintenance and Care Methods for Telescopic Pole Saw
I. Maintenance after Daily Use
External Cleaning
Clean the dust, wood chips and oil stains on the handle and engine casing, and wipe off the oil. Keep the body clean and free of debris.
Clean the Saw Chain Guide Plate
Remove the wood chips and tree glue from the guide plate groove, and check that the guide plate is not deformed or has no worn gaps.
Clean the Air Filter
Wash the sponge filter with clean water and dry it; blow off the dust from the paper filter and replace it immediately if clogged.
Check the Chain
Check the tightness and sharpness of the chain, and grind the blunt teeth when necessary. Tighten the loose part in time.
Add Lubricating Oil
Confirm that the automatic oil supply is normal, and regularly add the special chain oil to the guide plate and chain to prevent dry grinding and wear.
II. Fuel and Oil Path Maintenance
Two-stroke Models: Mix gasoline and two-stroke engine oil in the prescribed ratio. Do not use pure gasoline.
When not in use for a long time, drain the remaining fuel in the fuel tank to avoid sedimentation and blockage of the oil path and carburetor.
Regularly clean the fuel filter and fuel lines to prevent impurities from blocking the fuel supply.
III. Transmission and Extension Rod Maintenance
Check the screws and clasps at the connection points of the telescopic rod, tighten them in time if loose, to prevent shaking during operation.
Regularly add lubricating grease to the transmission shaft to ensure smooth operation without abnormal noise.
Avoid bending or breaking the rod body under heavy pressure, keep it straight during storage to prevent deformation.
IV. Spark Plug and Circuit Maintenance
Regularly remove the spark plug to clean the carbon deposits, adjust the gap if abnormal, or replace it directly.
Check the high-voltage wire and ignition switch to ensure normal power supply, and check for no leakage or damage.
V. Chain and Blade Maintenance
After use, remove rust and apply anti-rust treatment to the chain in damp environments. Dry it and apply protective oil if necessary.
Replace the chain in time if it is stretched or severely worn to avoid chain breakage and injury.
Gently grind the teeth of the saw after cutting hard debris to ensure smooth and effortless cutting.
VI. Long-term Storage Maintenance
Empty the fuel completely, clean all wood chips and debris from the entire machine.
Dry and air-dry the machine, apply oil to the chain to prevent rust.
Place it in a dry, ventilated, and shady area, away from moisture, direct sunlight, and rain.
Start the engine at idle speed for a few minutes every month to maintain the engine components.
VII. Safety Maintenance Precautions
Do not run the chain without fuel. It is very likely to burn the guide plate and chain.
Do not disassemble the internal parts of the engine at will.
Stop the machine for maintenance when a fault occurs, and do not repair or adjust it while it is running.
Replace severely worn parts in time, and do not operate with a faulty machine.
