Power Pumps (Gasoline Engine Pumps) - Usage and Operating Instructions
1. Main Applications
Agricultural Irrigation
Watering farmland, irrigating vegetable and orchard fields, drawing water from dry land, replenishing water in paddy fields, and long-distance water transportation.
Drainage and Flood Control
After rain, water accumulation in fields, water replacement for fish ponds, drainage and water removal for ponds, and drainage of low-lying areas at construction sites.
Aquaculture
Adding water to fish ponds, oxygenating shrimp ponds, and providing daily water supply for farms. Domestic water
Rural water supply, water diversion from rivers and ponds to homes, long-distance water delivery to orchards and mountainous areas.
Garden fire protection
Large-scale water spraying in gardens, irrigation in nurseries; emergency fire water extraction, water diversion from nearby rivers for fire extinguishing.
Construction engineering
Drainage of water at construction sites, pumping for foundation construction, water diversion for construction projects.
II. Common Models
2-inch water pump: Compact and lightweight, suitable for household use, small vegetable plots, and scattered irrigation in orchards.
3-inch water pump: The most versatile, common models for farmland, fish ponds, and orchards, with moderate flow rate.
4-inch and above high-flow models: Large-scale farmland, drainage, rapid drainage for engineering projects.
There are also self-priming, double-rotor high-head models, suitable for long-distance water delivery on hillsides and highlands.
III. Operating Methods
1. Preparations before starting
Check the entire machine: The frame is firmly fixed, the water pipe is undamaged, the interface gasket is intact, and the screws are not loose.
Install the water pipe: The bottom valve for water intake + the water inlet of the water pump, the outlet connects the water outlet hose, and the interface clamps are tightened without leakage.
It is necessary to draw in water: Before starting the self-priming pump, fill the pump body with water, remove the air, otherwise it cannot draw water.
Gasoline model: Add mixture oil in accordance with two-stroke ratio, check the oil circuit and spark plugs.
2. Startup steps
Close the water outlet valve or slightly close the nozzle.
Turn on the power switch, pull the air door of the cold machine, press the oil bubble, and pull the start rope to start.
Idle preheating for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then slowly open the water outlet valve, and normal water delivery.
3. Operating Tips
The bottom valve of the water inlet must be suspended away from the bottom, not touching the silt, to prevent sand from being sucked in and blocking the pump.
The water pipe should be as straight as possible, with fewer bends, to reduce the loss of head, and the water outlet should be larger.
Do not run idle without water for a long time, as it is easy to burn out the mechanical seal and wear the pump body.
When delivering water on slopes, connect the pipes in sections to avoid water pipes bursting due to pressure.
4. Stopping and Storage
First, turn off the water outlet, then turn off the engine.
Empty the remaining water in the pump body and water pipes to prevent freezing and cracking of the pump body in winter.
Remove the water pipe and dry it, clean the surface of the pump body of mud and debris.
IV. Safety Precautions
Gasoline engines must not be started indoors or in enclosed sheds to prevent poisoning from exhaust gas.
When refueling, the engine must be turned off and cooled, and no open flames or smoking is allowed.
Do not privately modify the impeller or modify the high-pressure structure of the pump body to avoid cracking and injuring people.
Do not extract sewage, mud, stones, or other debris as it is easy to break the impeller and block the pump chamber.
Seniors, children, and people who are drunk are prohibited from operating the machine.
V. Daily Maintenance
Rinse the pump chamber after each use, clean the debris in the water inlet filter.
Regularly clean the air filter, check the spark plugs, and oil circuit and oil pipes.
When storing for a long time, empty the fuel and water, dry the body, and place it in a dry and ventilated place.
