Precautions for Using Mist Duster
I. Preparations Before Operation (Inspection + Protection + Mixing/Loading of Chemicals)
Personnel Requirements
All personnel must be trained before taking up their posts and be familiar with the instruction manual. Those who are under the influence of alcohol, physically weak, pregnant, or minors are strictly prohibited from operating.
The operation team should consist of 2-3 people taking turns to avoid prolonged exposure to the chemical mist. Gansu Province Agricultural... 。
Personal Protection (Top Priority)
Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants, waterproof protective clothing, and keep the cuffs and trouser legs tightly fastened. Gansu Province's agricultural... 。
Wear a gas mask, protective goggles (wind goggles), gloves and rubber boots. Wrap a towel around the neck and place a plastic sheet on the back to reduce the penetration of the liquid medicine. Gansu Province's agriculture... 。
Machine inspection (in off state)
Fuel: For two-stroke engines, the ratio of gasoline to engine oil should be 25:1 to 30:1, and the mixture should be uniform; refueling must be done when the machine is off.
Tank for liquid chemicals / powder tank: The cover gasket should be intact and free of cracks; test spray with clean water / test blow, and check that the pipelines, joints, and switches have no leakage or looseness. Gansu Province Agricultural... 。
Blower / Nozzle: The nozzle is unobstructed and free of blockage; the blower has no abnormal noise and is securely fastened.
Back strap / Control lever: Firm and undamaged, with no risk of entanglement.
Loading and Mixing of Chemicals
For spraying liquid: Add the filtered liquid without exceeding the safe water level, and then tightly close the box lid.
For spraying powder: The powder should be dry and free of lumps. After adding the powder, tightly close the powder box lid.
It is strictly prohibited to mix chemicals or wash equipment near residential areas or water sources.
II. Startup and Operation During Work
Startup Procedure
It is strictly prohibited to start the machine while wearing it! The machine should be placed on the ground, started at idle speed, and then worn.
Sequence: Open the fuel valve → Open the air damper → Pull the starter → Close the air damper immediately after ignition → Idle operation.
Work Safety
Wind direction principle: Work with the wind or crosswind, never against the wind; the operator should be upwind and the spray nozzle should be directed downwind. Gansu Province Agricultural... 。
Nozzle Spray Precautions: The nozzle must not be directed at people, livestock, food, water sources, or clothing.
Spraying Method: When spraying, swing the nozzle left and right and move forward at a constant speed. Do not spray at one spot for a long time (to prevent pesticide damage).
When applying powder, shake the nozzle to prevent powder accumulation at the end. For film nozzles, inflate them first before adjusting the powder door.
Avoid working during high-temperature periods (midday) to prevent poisoning and heatstroke.
Machine Status
Keep the engine at the rated speed, do not overspeed or idle for a long time.
If there is a drug leak, oil leak, abnormal noise, or overheating, stop the machine immediately for inspection. Do not operate when the machine is faulty.
Do not touch the exhaust pipe, cylinder, or other high-temperature parts to prevent burns.
III. Shutdown and Post-Operation Procedures
Shutdown Sequence
Turn off the drug switch / powder door first → idle for 3-5 minutes → close the throttle → turn off the fuel switch.
After applying powder, idle for 1-2 minutes to clear any remaining powder from the pipeline.
Cleaning and Maintenance (Daily Routine)
Thoroughly clean the drug tank, pipelines, and nozzles with clean water to ensure no residual drugs or powder.
Wipe the entire machine clean and check for loose or worn bolts, joints, and straps.
For long-term storage: Drain all fuel, clean the fuel tank, lubricate key parts, and store in a dry and well-ventilated area.
Disposal of Waste Drugs and Empty Bottles
Do not pour residual liquid anywhere; dispose of it according to pesticide regulations by deep burial or at designated collection points.
Clean empty bottles three times and flatten them for recycling. Do not reuse them for other purposes.
IV. Key Points for Poison Prevention, Fire Prevention, and Heatstroke Prevention
Poison Prevention
Do not eat, smoke, or wipe your face during operation; take breaks in the upwind area.
Wash hands, face, and mouth, and change clothes immediately after operation.
If you experience dizziness, nausea, vomiting, or weakness, stop the machine and seek medical attention immediately.
Fire and Explosion Prevention
Keep fuel away from open flames and high temperatures. Do not smoke or make phone calls while refueling.
Do not start or operate the machine indoors or in confined spaces to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
Pesticide Damage and Environmental Considerations
Avoid areas with bees, silkworms, fish, and shrimp farming; use with caution during flowering periods.
Do not overapply or reapply. Follow the recommended dosage strictly.
