Proper Use of Common Garden Machinery - Brush Cutter

The mower is mainly used for clearing weeds in forests, cutting off low-growing shrubs, and trimming the edges of lawns. It consists of a power source (such as an engine or an electric motor) and the machinery (including the transmission and cutting parts). 

Preparation work before use 

Check whether the mechanical parts of the brush-cutting machine are functioning properly. 

2. Check the rotating parts of the brush cutter and test its flexibility by hand rotation. 

3. Check the level of the engine oil. Make sure it does not fall below the standard mark, and also check if there is sufficient gasoline. 

4. Check whether the installation screws of the engine, connecting rods, guards, etc. are tightened. 

5. Are the blades of the brush cutter or the edge ropes loose or do they need to be replaced? 

6. Put on protective goggles, work cap, and work clothes. Wear sturdy shoes. Do not operate the harvester barefoot or in sandals with open holes. 

Notes for Attention

First, the debris and stones on the grassland need to be cleared away. 

2. During the operation, dissuade non-staff members from entering. 

3. When starting the machine, no one is allowed to be present at the front working head area. 

4. The brush cutter should move smoothly. No one should be within 15 meters around it. If the lawn area is very large, the continuous operation time of the brush cutter should not exceed 40 minutes. 

5. When encountering pedestrians, vehicles or students, stop the operation and wait until the pedestrians leave the area before resuming work. 

6. When replacing the blade, trimming the edge rope or adding oil, the machine should be stopped for operation to prevent accidental injury to personnel. 

7. During operation, do not position the cutter head close to the ground or tree trunks to avoid damaging the tree trunks and the machinery. 

8. When refueling, ensure there are no flammable substances around to prevent a fire from occurring. 

9. After working for a total of 48 hours, check the amount of grease in the work head and add more if it is insufficient. 

Operation Usage Instructions 

1. First, mix the gasoline for combustion in the proper proportion. 

2. Remove the air by hand. 

3. Turn on the throttle switch. In the closed position, start pulling the machine. 

4. Put on the protective cover and safety goggles. 

5. Place the brush cutter on your back, hold the machine with both hands, and use your right hand to control the throttle and clutch switch. Swing the brush cutter at a constant speed. It is particularly important to skillfully use your right hand to control the throttle and clutch switch. 

6. In narrow areas such as at turns or in the corners of walls, reduce the throttle as much as possible and operate carefully to avoid colliding with machinery, which could lead to personal injury and damage to the equipment. 

7. Clean up the greenery waste in time and keep the ground clean. 

Maintenance work after use 

After each use, the entire cutting machine should be kept clean and hygienic. 

2. At the oil injection port of the brush cutter, regularly inject grease to ensure the lubrication of the machinery. 

3. Regularly clean the air filter. 

4. After each use, make a record before storing it away. 

Finally, when the garden machinery is not in use, the throttle must be turned off. When purchasing, it is essential to choose a brand to avoid situations where insufficient parts are available for maintenance in the future, thereby increasing the maintenance costs.
