The Use and Maintenance of Hedge Trimmers 

Use gasoline with grade 90 or above and two-stroke engine-specific oil. Do not use pure gasoline at all. 

2. This machine uses a mixture of gasoline and engine oil as fuel. The volume ratio of gasoline to engine oil is 25:1 or 50:1. 

3. Before using the new machine, it must be run for 1 hour. Every 20-30 minutes of operation, the machine needs to be shut down for 5-10 minutes. 

4. Add lubricating oil to the reducer (gearbox) every 25 hours. 

5. After the machine has been used for 40 hours, it is necessary to check if the screws are loose. If they are loose, please make sure to tighten them. 

6. Before using the machine, clean the work area to prevent any stones, wires, or other debris from being present and potentially affecting the safety of its use. 

7. Maintenance of hedge trimmer blades: Regularly (every 25 hours) check the gap between the upper and lower blades and adjust it (the gap should be the half-turn pitch of the bolt), keeping the blade edge sharp; regularly (every 8 to 20 hours) clean the blade to remove dust and dirt from it; apply engine oil to the blade every hour of operation, and trim branches with a diameter of less than 10mm. 

8. The air filter removes dust every 25 hours. For larger amounts of dust, it should be cleaned more frequently. The foam filter is cleaned by using gasoline or cleaning solution mixed with water for washing, squeezing to dry, then soaking in engine oil, and squeezing out the excess oil before installation. If it is marked with "DO NOT OIL", no engine oil needs to be added. Maintenance of the air filter: Adjust the air intake valve to the choke position to prevent dirt from entering the intake pipe. Place the foam filter in a clean, non-flammable cleaning solution (such as hot soapy water) for cleaning and drying. Replace the felt filter. For less dirty filters, gently tap or blow it, but do not clean the felt filter. Note that damaged filters must be replaced. 

9. Every 50 hours of use, remove the muffler and clean the carbon deposits on the exhaust outlet and the muffler outlet. 

10. The fuel filter (oil suction head) removes impurities every 25 hours. 

11. Inspection of spark plugs. If there are issues such as insufficient engine power, difficulty in starting, or idling problems, the spark plugs should be checked first. Clean the contaminated spark plugs, check the electrode distance, which should be 0.5 millimeters. If necessary, adjust it. To prevent spark generation and fire hazards, if the spark plugs have separate connectors, make sure to screw the nuts onto the threads and tighten them, and firmly press the spark plug plug onto the spark plug.
