Two-stroke Engine Fuel Mixture Ratio Specification Explanation
I. Core Ratio Standard
New machine / Break-in period (first 10 hours)
Gasoline: Two-stroke specific engine oil = 25:1
That is, 25 liters of gasoline mixed with 1 liter of engine oil. The lubrication concentration is relatively high, protecting the cylinder and piston.
Normal operation period
General standard: 50:1 (common for saws, lawn mowers, drills, blowers on the market)
Ratio conversion:
1L gasoline → Add 20ml two-stroke engine oil
0.5L gasoline → Add 10ml two-stroke engine oil
2L gasoline → Add 40ml two-stroke engine oil
Some older high-power models can use 40:1, but must not be lower than 30:1
II. Correct Mixing Steps
Prepare a clean dedicated oil can, do not mix directly in the fuel tank
First add engine oil, then pour in gasoline, tighten and shake evenly
Let it stand for a moment before adding, fully blend without stratification
Use immediately, do not store the mixed oil for a long time
III. Harm of Incorrect Ratio
1. Too much oil (too thick)
Exhaust pipe emits thick blue smoke, severe carbon deposits
Power decreases, fuel consumption increases
Spark plugs are prone to carbon buildup and misfire, difficult to start
Air filter and exhaust are clogged
2. Too little oil (too thin)
Insufficient lubrication, prone to cylinder seizure and sticking at high speeds
Piston and crankshaft wear out rapidly, direct engine failure
Machine overheats, abnormal noise increases
IV. Important Precautions
Must use two-stroke specific engine oil,严禁 using four-stroke car engine oil
Select 92# or higher unleaded gasoline， prohibit using inferior private oil
In summer， it can be slightly thicker， in winter， follow the standard 50：1
When the machine is idle for a long time， empty the fuel tank mixed oil to avoid oil deterioration and blockage of the oil passage
New machines must strictly go through the break-in period， do not use 50：1 immediately
V. Quick Memorization Tip
New machine： 25：1， normal operation： 50：1
First add oil， then add oil， shake evenly， remember to keep thick smoke and thin oil stratification
