Why must the engine oil be changed regularly?
Lubrication deteriorates.
Over time, the oil becomes thinner and its viscosity decreases, failing to protect the engine parts and causing increased wear.
More impurities
Combustion deposits and metal debris mix into the oil, turning into "abrasives" that scratch the cylinder block and crankshaft.
Heat dissipation and cooling fail
The oil is responsible for removing the engine's heat. When it deteriorates, it has poor heat dissipation and is prone to damaging the engine at high temperatures.
Sealing and rust prevention ability declines
It can't seal the gaps or prevent water vapor, making the interior prone to rust and allowing air to leak, resulting in increased fuel consumption.
Cleaning function is exhausted
The oil that has been washed off becomes saturated and instead blocks the oil paths and oil channels.
Additives fail
The anti-wear, anti-oxidation, and defoaming additives are used up, and the oil is completely ruined.
In summary: The engine oil gets dirtier and more wasteful the longer it is used. Not changing it regularly = prematurely damaging the engine, and major repairs are very expensive.
