Common causes for reduced flow rate (weak water output, poor spray range, poor atomization) of the power sprayer

1. Problems at the water intake / suction end (most common, prioritize checking)

Clogged suction pipe, filter screen

Impurities, scale, weeds blocking the bottom filter screen / suction head filter screen of the intake pipe, insufficient water intake, directly causing reduced flow rate.

Solution: Remove the filter screen for cleaning, replace it promptly if damaged.

Leaking or aged and cracked suction pipe

Damaged pipe, loose joints,脱落密封 ring, air enters the pump body, forming an air blockage, resulting in weak suction and intermittent water output.

Solution: Check the entire suction pipe, tighten joints, replace aged hoses / sealing rings.

Low liquid level in the medicine bucket

The liquid level is lower than the suction pipe inlet, sucking in air, causing a sudden drop in water output.

Solution: Add sufficient medicine, ensure the liquid level is higher than the suction port.

2. Internal pump body faults (core components)

Single-direction valves at the water intake / outlet getting stuck, clogged, or worn

Valve plates blocked by impurities, covered with scale, or having poor sealing, causing the return of medicine, significant drop in pressure and flow rate.

Solution: Disassemble the pump head, clean the valve seat and valve plate of scale and impurities, replace the deformed / worn valve plates directly.

Pump piston / diaphragm wear, aging sealing ring

Sealing components of diaphragm pump / piston pump aging or damaged, internal pressure relief, inability to build up pressure, reduced water output, often accompanied by vibration and abnormal noise.

Solution: Replace the diaphragm, piston ring, oil seal, etc. of the sealing kit.

Severe scale in the pump chamber

Long-term use of well water, hard water, pump body inner wall scaling, narrowed flow path, poor water flow.

Solution: Use food-grade scale remover to cycle clean the pump body and pipeline.

3. Pipe, switch, nozzle blockage / malfunction

Soft water pipe bent, flattened, aged and bulging

The pipe is under pressure, deformed, the cross-sectional area of water flow decreases, causing blockage in the flow path.

Solution: Straighten the pipeline, replace the damaged soft pipe.

Switch / pressure regulating valve clogged or malfunctioning

When the switch or pressure regulating valve is clogged by dirt inside, the opening is insufficient, pressure relief is abnormal.

Solution: Disassemble and clean the valve core and valve seat, replace the faulty assembly if necessary.

Nozzle, atomization plate blockage

Medicine residue, crystals blocking the spray holes, a common problem; partial blockage of multiple-hole nozzles can also reduce the overall flow rate.

Solution: Remove the nozzle, soak it in clean water, clean with a soft brush, do not use hard objects to poke or drill the nozzle.

4. Power part (engine / motor insufficient power)

Fuel-powered models

Low engine speed

Clogged air filter, carbon deposits on spark plugs, insufficient fuel supply from the carburetor, loose throttle cable, machine cannot reach rated speed, pump body does not work effectively, flow and pressure drop.

Solution: Clean the air filter, inspect and repair the spark plugs, adjust the carburetor, tighten the throttle cable.

Slipping transmission components

V-belt transmission type: Loosening, worn and slipping of the belt, power not reaching the pump body.

Solution: Tension or replace the transmission belt.

Electric / Lithium battery models

Insufficient voltage, battery depleted

Battery aging, low battery level, faulty charger, motor speed decreases.

Solution: Fully charge the battery, replace the aged battery directly.

Motor failure, carbon brush wear

Carbon brush worn out, bearing of the motor stuck, reduced speed.

Solution: Replace the carbon brush or repair the motor.

5. Other auxiliary reasons

Pressure setting too low

Manually setting the pressure regulator too low, the obvious manifestation is reduced water output.

Solution: Gradually increase the pressure to the normal range.

Long-term residual medicine crystalization

The medicine settles and crystallizes, adhering to the inner walls of the entire pipeline, continuously reducing the flow path.

Solution: Each time after use, use clean water to flush the entire machine.
