Reasons for insufficient rotational speed and inability to reach high speed of the mist duster
I. Basic external inspection (Priority for troubleshooting, simple operation)
Air filter blockage
The filter is clogged with drug powder, dust, and debris, resulting in insufficient air intake and restricted engine rotational speed.
Treatment: Disassemble and clean. If the dust is severe, wash and dry it; if damaged, replace directly.
Abnormal throttle mechanism
Throttle cable jamming, insufficient stroke, handle limit, unable to reach the maximum throttle; loose or shifted cable can also lead to insufficient fuel supply.
Treatment: Straighten and lubricate the cable, adjust the cable length to ensure the throttle can fully reach the high-speed gear.
Abnormal load / Wind path blockage
The spray pipe, nozzle, and filter are clogged with drug powder and debris, increasing the resistance of the fan wheel, suppressing the rotational speed; bent wind pipes and air leakage can also affect the working condition.
Treatment: Clear the entire pipeline, nozzle, and drug box filter, straighten the wind pipe, and repair the leakage position.
Fuel problems
Insufficient fuel quantity, deteriorated gasoline, incorrect grade; for two-stroke engines, the oil ratio is too high, hindering combustion and reducing power.
Treatment: Drain the old fuel, add fresh and compliant fuel, mix the oil strictly according to the model ratio.
II. Oil circuit faults (Common problems)
Carburetor blockage / Improper adjustment
The measurement holes, oil channels, and fuel injectors are clogged with oil stains, drug stains, etc., resulting in insufficient fuel supply, manifested as normal idle speed, inability to reach high speed, and prone to stalling; improper adjustment of the oil needle and air valve can also cause low rotational speed.
Treatment: Disassemble and thoroughly clean the carburetor, re-adjust the air valve and oil needle; severe blockage requires direct replacement.
Fuel filter and oil pipe faults
The internal filter of the fuel tank is clogged, the oil pipe is aged and cracked, causing air intake problems, intermittent fuel supply.
Treatment: Replace the filter and aged oil pipe, fix the pipeline to avoid compression.
III. Ignition system faults
Spark plug failure
Electrodes are clogged with carbon deposits, abraded, or have shifted gaps, resulting in weak sparks, insufficient combustion, inability to reach high speed, and accompanying vibration.
Treatment: Clean the carbon deposits, adjust the electrode gap, replace if severely worn.
High-voltage pack / Ignition circuit abnormalities
Insufficient ignition voltage, weak ignition in high-speed operation, difficulty in accelerating the entire machine.
Treatment: Test the spark output, repair the damaged circuit, replace if the high-voltage pack is damaged.
IV. Exhaust system blockage
Carbon deposits accumulate in the muffler and exhaust port, hindering the exhaust flow, causing "pressure build-up" in the engine, and unable to increase the rotational speed.
Treatment: Remove the muffler and clean the internal carbon deposits, replace if severely clogged.
V. Transmission and mechanical resistance
Fan wheel jamming, foreign matter entanglement
Foreign matter entangles the fan blade, the blade deforms, the bearing gets stuck, resulting in a significant increase in resistance and the engine being unable to drive.
Treatment: Stop the machine, remove the fan housing, clean the entangled matter, correct the blade, add lubricating grease or replace the bearing.
Clutch slipping
Clutch shoe wear, weak spring, seemingly higher engine rotational speed, but the actual rotational speed of the fan wheel is low, resulting in weak high-speed performance.
Treatment: Disassemble the clutch assembly, replace the worn shoe and spring.
VI. Engine internal faults
Cylinder, piston, piston rings worn, slight scuffing, insufficient compression pressure in the cylinder, significant power loss, often accompanied by blue smoke and abnormal noise. Mostly caused by long-term lack of maintenance, failure of the air filter, or overloading operation.
Treatment: Disassemble and inspect, replace the piston rings, cylinder assembly.
Quick self-check steps (operate in sequence)
Clean the air filter, drug path / wind pipe, nozzle debris
Replace new fuel, check and adjust the throttle cable
Check, replace the spark plugs
If ineffective: Clean the carburetor + clean the muffler
Still abnormal: Check the fan wheel bearing, clutch
Final inspection of the engine cylinder compression state
